A budget of Tk 30 crore 97 lakh 39 thousand 694 has been announced for the 2025-26 fiscal year without new taxes.
Jibannagar Municipality Administrator and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Syedjadi Mahbuba Manjur Mouna announced the budget in the meeting room of the municipality office on Monday afternoon.
The revenue income in the budget is estimated at Tk 3 crore 50 lakh 25 thousand. And the revenue expenditure is estimated at Tk 3 crore 50 lakh 89 thousand 352.
The initial balance in the budget is Tk 4 lakh 80 thousand 994. The revenue surplus will be Tk 4 lakh 16 thousand 642.
Meanwhile, the development receipt in the budget is Tk 27 crore 97 lakh 39 thousand 694. Development expenditure has been estimated at 27 crore 42 lakh 33 thousand 700 taka.
The highest receipt and expenditure of 15 crore taka has been estimated from the RUDTP project in the budget. In addition, the second highest receipt and expenditure of 7 crore taka has been estimated from the Sustainable Urban Infrastructure Development Project.
Meanwhile, the highest income in the revenue sector has been estimated at 1 crore 5 lakh taka from the transfer of immovable property. The second highest income of 41 lakh taka has been estimated from house and land tax, followed by 35 lakh taka from haat-bazar ijaz. In addition, the fourth highest income of 30 lakh taka has been estimated from profession, business and calling.
The highest expenditure of 1 crore 17 lakh 18 thousand 352 taka in the revenue sector has been estimated for the salaries and allowances of officials.
OC of Jibannagar Police Station Mamun Hossain Biswas, Health and Family Planning Officer of Jibannagar Health Complex Maqbul Hasan, Upazila Engineer Mahbubul Haque and Convener of Jibannagar Press Club Md. Ripon Hossain among others were present.
