Mir Nadia Nivin appointed IDRA Chairman

Mir Nadia Nivin has been appointed as the Chairman of the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA).
The Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on Tuesday (June 16 ) approving her contract for a three-year tenure.
According to the notification, signed by Deputy Secretary Mohammad Abraul Hasan Mazumder, she has been granted a contractual appointment under Section 5(2) of the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority Act, 2010.
The appointment is subject to the condition that she relinquishes all professional ties and work relationships with other institutions and organizations from her official date of joining. Her remuneration, allowances, and other employment terms will be determined through a formal contract executed with the government.
Nadia Nivin previously served as a member of the interim government's 'Election System Reform Commission'. She also currently serves as an independent director of Delta Life Insurance.
Born in Kuwait, Nadia Nivin completed her Master's degree from California State University, Sacramento, in 2006. She also holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Harvard University.
