State Minister for Land and Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin, MP on Saturday expressed strong conviction that all forms of middlemen and corruption can be eradicated from public service sectors through the modernization of information technology and up-to-date automation.

He made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the 'BPO Summit 2026', organized by the Bangladesh Association of Contact Center and Outsourcing (BACCO) at the Khulshi Convention Hall in Chattogram. The theme for this year's summit was "Where Talent Meets Global Opportunity".

Reflecting on his 22-year legal and political career, the state minister highlighted that the youth generation serves as the primary driving force behind the journey toward building a happy, prosperous, and discrimination-free new Bangladesh under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, MP. 

He noted that despite facing historical distortions presented to the youth over the last 17 to 18 years, initiatives like the 'BNP Media Cell' established by the then Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman successfully utilized online activists to counter censorship and present truthful narratives.

Detailing the revolutionary steps taken to modernize the land ministry, Mir Helal mentioned that the ministry's core services have been transitioned entirely online to eliminate public suffering. Citizens can now seamlessly pay land development taxes, apply for land mutations, and lodge complaints from the comfort of their homes using the 'BHUMI' app. 

The event was attended by ICT Department Deputy Secretary Abdullah Al Mamun, BACCO President Tanveer Ibrahim, and General Secretary Foysal Alim as special guests. Other BACCO executive committee members, industry leaders, academics, entrepreneurs, and a large number of students were also present at the summit.
