Monthly law, order committee meeting held in Bhandaria

The monthly meeting of the Bhandaria Upazila Law and Order Committee was held on Monday to discuss regional security, crime prevention, and public services.
Organized by the upazila administration, the meeting commenced at 10:00 AM at the Upazila Parishad auditorium with UNO Md. Hasibul Hasan presiding over the session.
The committee reviewed the overall security situation of the upazila and discussed targeted strategies to curb drug abuse, prevent smuggling, improve road safety, monitor market prices, and eliminate child marriage. Enhancing the delivery and quality of various government public services also featured prominently during the discussion.
Among others, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Ujjal Haldar, OC of Bhandaria Police Station Dewan Jaglul Hasan, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Ibrahim Mollah, Chairman of No. 2 Nadmula-Sialkati Union Parishad Mezbah Uddin Arif, Convenor of Municipal BNP Abdul Mannan Howlader, Panel Chairman of No. 7 Gouricipur Union Abdur Rahman, Principal of Shahabuddin Senior Fazil Madrasah Abdur Rahim, and journalists Shahjahan Hossain and Tarikul Islam were present. Various government departmental heads, public representatives, law enforcement officials, and civil society members also attended.
Speakers at the event emphasized that maintaining peace and social order in the upazila requires a coordinated and collective effort from the local administration, elected public representatives, and general citizens.
