New Faridpur SP holds view exchange meeting with journalists

The newly -appointed Superintendent of Police of Faridpur, Shahriar Mohammad Miyaji, held an interactive exchange meeting with print and electronic media journalists at the district press club.
The meeting focused on various critical issues concerning public safety and law enforcement, including the district's overall security situation, drug trafficking, extortion, theft, traffic congestion, and the menace of teenage gangs (Kishore Gang).
Hosted by the District Police at the conference room of the SP's office on Thursday morning , the session was chaired by SP Shahriar Mohammad Miyaji.
The meeting saw active participation from key police officials and prominent media figures, including Additional Superintendents of Police Fatema Islam and Ajmir Hossain, Faridpur Press Club President Kabirul Islam Siddiqui, General Secretary Mahbub Hossain Pial, senior journalists Panna Bala, Zahid Ripon, Tamizuddin Taj, Ashrafuzzaman Dulal, Hasanuzzaman, Kamruzzaman Sohel, Sajjad Hossain Roni, Alimuzzaman Roni, Sanjib Das, and B.K. Sikder Sajal, alongside Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mahmudul Hasan and DIO-1 Mosharraf Hossain, among other members of the press.
During the open discussion, journalists shed light on local law enforcement challenges and public suffering across various neighborhoods. They shared targeted recommendations regarding the need for heightened night-time security patrols, measures to curb drugs, theft, and extortion, and strategies to alleviate persistent traffic congestion in the city.
The journalists strongly emphasized that night security across various zones needs immediate reinforcement. They also urged police personnel to adopt a more sincere and welcoming approach to ensure that ordinary citizens seeking police assistance do not face any form of harassment or procedural hurdles.
SP Shahriar Mohammad Miyaji listened attentively to the journalists' observations and underscored the importance of fostering robust mutual cooperation and coordination between the police force and the media to continuously improve the district's law and order scenario.
