Obstruction, vandalism of construction work in Gangni, ignoring court orders

Opponents have been accused of obstructing the construction of a market under construction in Bamondi Bazar of Gangni Upazila of Meherpur, ignoring court orders, vandalizing it and threatening to kill it.
According to the complaint source, 8 hundred land of RS Khatian No. 528 and RS Dag No. 1159 of Bamondi Mouza No. 47 of Gangni Upazila. Of this, Golam Sarwar's wife, Pratibandhi Beli Khatun of Kalyanpur village, and her son Masud Hossain are constructing a market on 6.25 points of land, claiming ownership through inheritance and purchase. They said that the construction of the two-story building of the market has already been almost completed.
The landowners, Beli Khatun and her son Masud Hossain, complained that they have been building a market on the land in Bamondi Bazar for almost two years.
When the construction work was almost at its final stage, Ibn Aziz Mahmud, son of Golam Mahmud of Bamondi village, filed a petition case in the Additional District Magistrate Court of Meherpur, claiming the position of a room in the under-construction building without any documents. The case number is 482/2025.
They claim that the court settled the case after a long litigation. Even after the opponent lost the case, under-construction buildings are being vandalized and construction work is being obstructed in various ways with the help of an influential group.
Masud Arfin further alleged that he had filed a written complaint with Gangni Police Station regarding the incident. Later, the police ordered those concerned not to obstruct their construction work.
The victim family has sought the intervention of higher authorities in the administration to ensure security and continue construction work without any disruption. However, the statement of the accused Ibn Aziz Mahmud on this matter was not immediately available.
