Press conference against UNO, AC Land, OC of Belab

Amlab Union BNP Organizing Secretary Shahin Molla held a press conference against the UNO, AC Land and OC of Belab Upazila of Narsingdi. Md. Sohel and Sajib Pathan of the area accompanied him at the press conference.
In a written statement at the press conference, Shahin Molla said, "I filed a case against the opponents Ataur Rahman and Khudeja Gang in the court of Additional District Magistrate Narsingdi regarding a land dispute. The court ordered the OC of Belab Police Station and the Union Land Assistant Officer to submit a report regarding the Nalisha land to maintain peace and order in the area."
The Belab Upazila Executive Officer called me, my wife and Sohel, the person from whom I had bought the land, to the Upazila office through a letter. Accordingly, on September 30, I, my wife and Sohel went there and informed the UNO that a case regarding the Nalisha land was pending in the civil court and the court of the Additional District Magistrate. We will accept whatever decision the learned court gives.

As soon as he said this, the people of the opposing party beat and humiliated Sohel in front of the UNO. He was seriously injured during this. At one point, the UNO called the Belab police station and brought the police and handed Sohel over to their custody at around 1 pm. At that time, the police took him to the Belab police station and detained him without a case or warrant. That same day, Sohel's grandfather died and when they informed the UNO and the OC, they did not release him.
After detaining Sohel at the police station, at around 3 pm, on the instructions of the UNO, Nalisha went to the land, removed the boundary pillars, disconnected the electricity lines and demolished the structures in an attempt to hand over the land to the opponents Ataur Rahman and Khudeja gangs. At this time, when the local people wanted to record a video of the incident, the police, on the verbal instructions of AC Land, took away the mobile phones from the hands of the local people and charged them with batons to move them away from the scene.
The police went to my house, broke down the gate of my house, and scolded my sick, elderly mother and wife in front of my young children, saying that if I complained to anyone about this matter, they would falsely accuse me. Or else they would make me disappear.
Attempts were made to speak to the Belab Upazila Executive Officer on his mobile phone regarding this matter, but he did not answer the phone.
When contacted, the officer-in-charge of Belab Police Station said that no one was tortured or harassed by the police.
The police went to my house, broke down the gate of my house, and scolded my sick, elderly mother and wife in front of my young children, saying that if I complained to anyone about this matter, they would falsely accuse me. Or else they would make me disappear.

When contacted, the officer-in-charge of Belab Police Station said that no one was tortured or harassed by the police.
