Home and Agriculture Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said, our border is completely secure.
He inaugurated the Boro Bridhan-88 harvesting in Dhelpir block of Mokleshpur union in Birol upazila of Dinajpur on Thursday at 12:30 pm.
He said this in response to questions from journalists after the inauguration.
The Adviser said, "When our country had a population of 75 million, the number of agricultural lands in our country was even more. But now our country has about 180 million people but the number of agricultural lands is much smaller."
He further said, "As a result of the hard work of our farmers and scientists, improved rice is being produced in our country."
Agriculture Secretary Dr. Mohammad Emdad Ullah Mian, Deputy Commissioner Md. Rafiqul Islam, Superintendent of Police Md. Marufat Hussain, Biral Upazila Nirbahi Officer (Acting) Ishtiaq Ahmed and other high-ranking officials in the administration were present.
