RAB-4 arrests 3 criminals with firearms, drugs in Ashulia

Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three identified criminals and drug dealers along with firearms, ammunition and narcotics during a raid in the West Rajashan area of Savar on Sunday night.
The matter was confirmed in a press release sent on Monday morning by Shaheenur Kabir, Company Commander of RAB-4, CPC-2.
The arrested individuals were identified as Md. Suman Mia, 38, of Chandpur district, Md. Sabuj, 26, of Dinajpur, and Zahurul Hasan, 20, of Dhaka.
According to RAB, the elite force conducted the drive in Savar West Rajashan locality based on specific intelligence information. During the drive, RAB recovered one foreign-made pistol, three magazines and 21 rounds of live ammunition from the detainees.
In addition, law enforcers also seized 5 grams of heroin, one kilogram of cannabis and 146 pieces of yaba tablets.
RAB-4 Company Commander Shaheenur Kabir said the arrested men had long been involved in criminal activities in Savar, Ashulia and adjacent areas using the recovered firearms. He also said they were involved in illegal drug trading.
He added that the detainees were handed over to the concerned police station for necessary legal action.
