Rally, discussion meeting held in Barishal to celebrate World Environment Day

Plastic pollution is no more - it's time to stop it -with this theme, a rally and discussion meeting was held on Thursday at District Shilpakala Academy Auditorium on World Environment Day 2025.
Divisional and District Administration and Department of Environment Barishal jointly organised this event.
Divisional Commissioner Md Raihan Kausar was present as Chief Guest and DC Mohammad Delwar Hossain presided over the event.
DIG Mohammad Manjur Morshed Alam, Director Department of Environment Barishal Division Muhammad Mujahidul Islam, Deputy Police Commissioner (Traffic) Barishal Metropolitan Police Mohammad Sharfuddin, Assistant Professor Soil and Environmental Science Barishal University Dr. Ferdousi Zaman Tonu were present as special guests.
Initially, the colourful procession started from the premises of the Ladies Club Barishal in the city and circled various important roads of the city and ended at the District Shilpakala Academy auditorium.
At the beginning, the chief guest and other guests discussed the significance of World Environment Day.
The chief guest, Divisional Commissioner Barishal, distributed prizes among the winners of the painting competition on the occasion of Day.
