
Rally in Morelganj to create awareness on 31-point state reform agenda of BNP in Morelganj

A street rally was held on Wednesday in the Bisharighata Bazar area of Ward 15, Sadar Union, Morelganj Upazila in Bagerhat district. Organized by the BNP’s Morelganj Sadar Union unit. The main focus of the event was to promote the '31-Point State Reform Plan' announced by BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.
The rally was conducted by Abdullah Al Mamun, General Secretary of Ward 15 Sadar Union BNP, and presided over by Abdur Rahim Talukdar. The chief guest was Kazi Khairuzzaman Shipon, a BNP nomination aspirant for the Bagerhat-4 (Morelganj-Sarankhola) constituency.
Speakers at the rally called for a swift arrangement of a free, fair, and inclusive national parliamentary election to overcome the ongoing political crisis in the country. Leaflets outlining the 31 points were distributed among the public, highlighting their significance.
Other notable attendees included Shahidul Haque Babul, Convener of Morelganj Upazila BNP; newly elected President of the Municipal BNP, Shikdar Faridul Islam; Joint Conveners of Upazila BNP, Afzal Jomaddar and Fakir Rasel Al Islam; Motiur Rahman Bacchu, a leader of the Nishanbaria Union BNP; General Secretary Abdullah Al Maruf; Principal Sabina Yasmin Tulu; and Golam Rasool Babul, President of the Baraikhali Union BNP, among others.
Speakers expressed their support for Shahidul Haque Babul as a candidate for President in the upcoming biennial council of the Morelganj Upazila BNP, stating, "Babul is a capable leader to organize and mobilize the party."
