Sandwip Nagorik Samaj felicitated 61 students who obtained GPA-5 from Ctg

The social organization 'Sandwip Nagorik Samaj, Chittagong' felicitated 61 meritorious students of Sandwip who obtained GPA-5 in the recently published SSC results from various educational institutions in Chittagong city.
The reception program held at the Engineer Abdul Khalek Auditorium of Chittagong Press Club on Friday at 3 pm was presided over by Principal Muktader Azad Khan, Chief Coordinator of Sandwip Nagorik Samaj, Chittagong.
The Principal of Government Commerce College, Chittagong, Professor Md. Shah Alamgir, spoke as the chief guest at the program.
The special guests who spoke were Engineer Md. Ashraf Uddin, founding donor member of Gachua Adarsh High School, Professor Nilufar Akhter Khushi, former head of the philosophy department of Chittagong Government Women's College, Md. Maruful Islam, principal of Dilawara Jahan Memorial College, Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain, former general secretary of Sandwip Association, Chittagong, and Mrs. Nurun Nahar, associate professor of the mathematics department of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology.
The speaker at the event was Mohammad Alamgir, CEO of Delta Immigration. Advocate S.M. Saifur Rahman Nowshad, coordinator of Sandwip Nagorik Samaj, Chittagong, delivered the welcome address.
The event was jointly hosted by Asaduzzaman Zahid, a member of Sandwip Nagorik Samaj, Chittagong and Kazi Rubaida Jahan Nowreen, a meritorious student of Halishahar Cantonment Public School and College. The invited guests included Kazi Zia Uddin Sohel, a lifelong member of Sandwip Nagorik Samaj, Chittagong, Maulana Mohammad Alauddin, President of Sandwip Foundation, Swapan Chandra Saha, former headmaster of Satkania Nalua Dwijendra Lal Karan High School, Master Afsar Uddin Raju, General Secretary of Musapur Samity, Chittagong, Sub-Registrar Abdus Sobhan, President of Sonali Sandwip Tarun Probashi Oikya Parishad, Md. Delwar Hossain, and social activist Syed Abul Kalam Azad.
Md. Mojibul Maula, President of Abdul Khalek Academy-Gachhua Alumni Association, and Engineer Mohammad Mojibur Rahman, President of South Sandwip High School Alumni Association, spoke on behalf of the parents at the event.
Mohammad Marjuk Rahman, Abrar Fayyaz, Saeed and Jayshree Roy spoke on behalf of the meritorious students at the event.
In his speech as the chief guest at the event, Principal Md. Shah Alamgir advised the meritorious students to be well-educated with ethics and morality and to become good people in life. He advised the meritorious students to respect their parents and teachers. He urged the meritorious students to be inspired by patriotism. Many of the other speakers at the event also advised the meritorious students to develop into honest and worthy citizens like the meritorious children of Sandwip, Honorable Advisor Dr. Fawzul Kabir Khan.
