Sewing machines, bicycles, stipends among small ethnic groups in Kamalganj

Under the ‘Development Assistance for Special Areas’ program being implemented by the Prime Minister’s Office to improve the living standards of the small ethnic group population in Kamalganj, expansion of education and creation of self-employment, sewing machines, bicycles and stipends for students have been distributed among the beneficiaries.
The MP of Moulvibazar-4 (Kamalganj-Sreemangal) constituency, Md. Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury, was present as the chief guest at the event and handed over these gifts and assistance to the beneficiaries and students on Saturday.
The MP said that the government is working tirelessly to integrate the backward small ethnic groups into the mainstream of society. On the one hand, self-employment will be created through this assistance, while on the other hand, the quality and interest of ethnic group students in education will increase.
After the distribution of relief materials, the 'One Lakh Tree Plantation Program per Year' was inaugurated by MP Md. Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury.
Kamalganj UNO Md. Asaduzzaman, Upazila Agriculture Officer Jayanta Kumar Roy, Upazila Social Service Officer Md. Yusuf Mia, Moulvibazar District BNP Convener Committee Member Md. Durud Ahmed, Upazila BNP Convener and UP Chairman Oli Ahmed Khan, Joint Convener Convener Abul Hossain, Upazila Public Health Assistant Engineer Sujan Ahmed, Adampur Union Parishad Chairman Abdal Hossain, local administration officials, public representatives and various dignitaries from small ethnic groups were present.
