Rangpur Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Rabiul Faisal said that Shaheed Abu Sayeed, a son of Rangpur, has gained fame as the icon of the July Revolution worldwide.
In order to fully reap the benefits of the anti-discrimination movement of the students and the public, we must work together by utilizing education.
Education is the highest development of the body, mind and soul. And the process through which this development is achieved is education. Education is the process of acquiring new knowledge, experience, skills, character traits, values and perspectives or changing the current way of thinking.
He said these while speaking as the chief guest at the award distribution ceremony among students under the Performance Based Grants for Secondary Institutions Scheme at the Upazila Parishad Hall Room at 11 am on Tuesday. Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Saiful Islam presided over the ceremony, with Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md. Abdul Hai as the special guest.
In his speech as the chief guest, Rangpur Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Rabiul Faisal further said that students need to acquire moral values and the quality of treating people well. We need to change our thinking, culture and outlook. If equal opportunities are ensured for boys and girls, they are able to work equally, it is now proven that education is the main driving force for the progress of a country and a nation. In this regard, it is said that "education is the backbone of the nation".
Among the 5 fundamental rights that have been mentioned in our country, education is one of them. The need for education is universal, essential and comprehensive. There is no alternative to education for a person to become a person with real human and social qualities.
The program was addressed by Sadar Upazila Press Club President Mohiuddin Makhdumi.
The presentation was made by Upazila Academic Supervisor Md. Aftabur Rahman.
The event was organized by Upazila Secondary Education Office, Rangpur Sadar and District Education Office, Rangpur. 15 SSC and 12 HSC students received the awards.
