Sheikh Mujib was killed by a group from AL : Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu

Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu said that Sheikh Mujibur Rahman established a one-party rule in the country through the Baksal Qayem. Democracy, the main aspiration of the liberation war, was destroyed, resulting in conflict and strife among the people of the country. As a result, a group of the Awami League brutally killed Sheikh Mujib on August 15, 1975.
He made these remarks as the chief guest at a discussion meeting organized by the district BNP in Lalmonirhat on Saturday at noon to mark the 'National Revolution and Solidarity Day'.
The minister said that after August 15, a faction of the so-called Awami League came to power under the leadership of Khandaker Mushtaq. However, even the day before the assassination, this Mushtaq had fed Sheikh Mujib rice with pigeon meat. In that cabinet of Khandaker Mushtaq, 21 ministers including Taher Uddin Thakur of Sheikh Mujib's cabinet took oath. Therefore, those who come to power by killing power are the murderers.
Explaining the background of the historic 7th of November, Asadul Habib Dulu said, after the assassination of Sheikh Mujib, various types of rebellions started. Between 3rd and 7th of November, extreme instability occurred, one government in the morning, then another government in the afternoon, and Ziaur Rahman was imprisoned. Later, the patriotic army and the common people freed him from captivity. Freedom-seeking people from Teknaf to Tentulia took to the streets.
Recalling the conspiracy to kill the founder of BNP, the minister said, the conspirators did not stop. They brutally killed the great proclaimer of independence Ziaur Rahman at the Chittagong Circuit House.
After the discussion meeting, a huge rally was taken out from in front of the Railway Workers' Party office. The rally went around the main roads of the city and ended at Mission Intersection.
The event was moderated by District BNP Acting General Secretary and District Council Administrator AKM Mominul Haque. District BNP Information and Technology Affairs Secretary Abul Bashar Sumon, Jubo Dal Convener VP Anisur Rahman Anis, and a large number of leaders and activists from Chhatra Dal, Jubo Dal, Mahila Dal, Sramik Dal and other BNP affiliate organizations were also present.
