Tahirpur Police Station OC transferred

Md. Aminul Islam, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tahirpur Police Station in Sunamganj, has been transferred from his post and reassigned to the district's Dirai Circle Office as a Police Inspector. Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Ops) Rakibul Hasan Russell confirmed the administrative development on Monday.
According to the Additional SP, the transfer order was signed on Sunday (June 28) by Sunamganj District Superintendent of Police A B M Jakir Hossain, PPM, following a directive from the Police Headquarters. Records show that Inspector Aminul Islam had previously taken charge as the Officer-in-Charge of Tahirpur Police Station on December 8, 2025.
Speaking on Monday afternoon, Sunamganj SP A B M Jakir Hossain, PPM, stated that the decision to transfer the official was made in the public interest.
He added that Inspector Md. Aminul Islam has been instructed to swiftly collect his release clearance from the SP office and join his newly assigned post at the Dirai Circle Office without delay.
