Tragic murder sparks outrage in Morelganj: Body of young man found in Khulna Shipyard

The body of 27-year-old Naeem Molla, a pipe fitter from Morelganj, was found with hands and feet tied near the main gate of Khulna Shipyard on May 23. He was reportedly brutally tortured and suffocated. The discovery has cast a shadow of grief and anger over his village, Paylatola.
Police said, the body was wrapped in polythene with signs of sharp weapon injuries. Locals and family demand a swift and fair investigation. Naeem had no known enmity at work, but a recent dispute over a broken iPhone with local youths may be linked.
The family questions the security of the shipyard, a CCTV-monitored area. Multiple investigative units, including CID and PBI, are involved, but no arrests have been made yet. Naeem’s grieving mother called for justice, echoing a broader demand for improved industrial area security.
