Workshop on completion of field activities of livestock insurance project and business growth plan held in Kurigram

Almost all the people of Kurigram district earn their living by raising livestock in addition to agriculture but while raising these animals, various diseases often occur.
 
Many cows, goats, and buffaloes die from these diseases, leaving families dependent on livestock helpless.
 
In this situation, livestock insurance will continue to play an important role for the people of the area.
 
A workshop on the completion of field activities and business expansion plans for the livestock insurance project was held at the Abhinandan Convention Center in Kurigram Sadar on Wednesday afternoon under the livestock insurance project.
 
The event was chaired by Farhana Akhter, Project Manager of the Livestock Insurance Project, and District Livestock Officer Habibur Rahman was present as the chief guest.
Kurigram Sadar Upazila Animal Resources Officer Kamrul Hasan and Ulipur Upazila Animal Resources Officer Reba Begum were present as special guests.
 
 Swiss Contract Investment Management Officer Nahian Anzara and Project Coordinator Alamgir Hossain were present. 
 
Rumi, a volunteer worker at the insurance project's headquarters in Jaipur Union, said, "We are going door to door and highlighting the importance of insurance through yard meetings, bringing livestock under insurance."
 
Chief guest Habibur Rahman said that most people in Kurigram district directly and indirectly raise livestock.
That is why livestock insurance is essential for every family to protect their future.
