A protest rally was organized by the Satkhira District Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal in protest against the deteriorating law and order situation across the country due to the indifference of the administration, the conspiratorial propaganda against the national leader Tarique Rahman, and attempts to destabilize the country on Monday.
Under the leadership of district Sramik Dal president Abdus Samad, a protest rally started from Sangita Mor in the town and marched through the main roads before ending at Shaheed Asif Chattar at Khulna Road Mor, where a brief assembly was held.
Among those present at the time were district Sramik Dal vice-presidents Milon Hossain, Abu Taleb, organizing secretary Md. Miyaraj Ali, office secretary Mizanur Rahman Mizan, district Imarat Dal president Tafur Ali, Sadar Upazila Sramik Dal president Sheikh Mamunur Rashid, Debhata Upazila Sramik Dal president Bikash Sarkar, senior vice-president Md. Abu Zafrul Islam, secretary Asadul Islam, Kolaroa Upazila Sramik Dal president Habibullah Habbi, general secretary Md. Babul Hossain, Kolaroa Municipality Sramik Dal president Mozammel Hossain, secretary Bablu, Kolaroa Road Transport Workers’ Union president Humayun Kabir, VIP Sramik Dal president Altaf Hossain, Kaliganj Upazila Sramik Dal president Md. Selim Hossain, Shyamnagar Upazila Sramik Dal president Roknuzzaman Rokib, along with leaders from various upazila Sramik Dal.
