Youth to be prepared with skills, language proficiency before going to Japan: Bobby Hajjaj

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj has said the government is taking comprehensive steps to equip Bangladeshi youth with language proficiency and technical skills to meet the demands of international labor markets, particularly Japan.
Speaking at an interactive meeting with expatriate Bangladeshis, professionals, and students in Osaka on Thursday, the state minister emphasized that the objective extends beyond sending manpower abroad to building a skilled, world-class human resource base.
Hajjaj noted that policy and institutional frameworks for language learning and technical education will be strengthened, and assured that returning professionals will receive policy support to utilize their expertise in domestic industries.
During the session, community representatives proposed establishing national accreditation for language institutes, specialized training for instructors, and better alignment between vocational education and Japan's job market demands.
The event was attended by embassy officials, local business leaders, community representatives, and Bangladeshi students studying at various Japanese universities.
