Leaders and activists of the district Chhatra Dal and Swechasebak Dal detained a Chhatra League activist from Khanpur Bazar in Satkhira Sadar Upazila and handed him over to the police on Friday.
The detained Chhatra League activist, Rasel, is the son of Akhtaruzzaman from Khanpur village. His father, Akhtaruzzaman, is the Vice President of Shibpur Union Awami League.
Manjurul Alam Bappi, Convener of Satkhira Sadar Upazila Chhatra Dal, stated, “The Chhatra League activist made derogatory remarks on Facebook about Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman. In response, we handed him over to the police in accordance with the law.”
