Coast Guard operation : Two suspected drug peddlers held with 6,500 Yaba in Teknaf

The Bangladesh Coast Guard apprehended two suspected drug peddlers along with 6,500 Yaba tablets during an anti-narcotics drive in the Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar.
Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujan, Media Officer for the Coast Guard informed this on Friday morning.
According to the Coast Guard, acting on a tip-off, a special team from Coast Guard Station Teknaf conducted an operation near the border road bridge in the Hnila area at approximately 7:00 PM on Thursday.
During the raid, security personnel intercepted a suspicious CNG-driven auto-rickshaw and searched it, recovering 6,500 Yaba pills with an estimated street value of BDT 3.25 million, alongside BDT 8,446 in cash and four mobile phones.
The seized narcotics and confiscated items, along with the detained suspects, have been handed over to local authorities for the initiation of necessary legal proceedings.
