Construction worker killed in Amtali bus accident

Construction worker Shubh Howlader was killed when a bus of Sakura Paribahan lost control in the area adjacent to the Chunakhali Bridge on the Patuakhali-Kuakata highway was killed on Friday afternoon.
The deceased was the son of Ganesh Howlader of Patakata village of Chawra union of Amtali upazila.
According to local sources, he was constructing a house next to the Chunakhali Bridge. At noon, the Sakura transport bus lost control of the sand and went to the sand pile on the road to fetch the sand. Shubh Howlader died on the spot after being hit by a bus.
About an hour and a half, the Amtali police station and fire service personnel recovered his body. The accident caused a long traffic on the two sides of the road. Later, he was taken to Amtali Upazila Health Complex. Luna Binte Haque declared dead.
The deceased's Schalk Bidhan Gain said that Shubh Hawlader was the victim of the accident while fetching the sand at work.
Amtali Police Station OC (Investigation) Saidul Islam said, the bodies were handed over without the autopsy at the request of the family.
