Discussion on holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi at DU

On the occasion of the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH), a discussion meeting and prayer meeting on the life and work of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), peace, progress, harmony, tolerance, global brotherhood, human rights and dignity of women in Islam was held on Wednesday after Zuhr at the Central Mosque of Dhaka University, 'Masjidul Jami'ay'. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam was the chief guest in the meeting and Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) Prof Dr. Mohammad Almojaddidi Alfesani was present as the special guest.
Chairman of the Arabic Department, Prof Dr. Muha. Mizanur Rahman and Chairman of the Islamic Studies Department, Prof Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman participated in the discussion. The prayer was led by Senior Imam Khatib Hafez Maulana Nazir Mahmud.
Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam said, peace will come to the society only if we can build our lives in the light of the Quran and Sunnah in the life of individuals, families and society. He said, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) was Al Amin, that is, truthful.
