DU distributes certificate to participants of ‘Baishakh Festive Rally’

Certificates have been awarded to the teachers, students, and alumni who participated in the ‘Boishakh Festive Rally-1432’ at the University of Dhaka on Sunday.
Certificates were distributed to them at the closing ceremony of the Boishakh program held at the Osman Jamal Auditorium of the Faculty of Fine Arts. Professor Dr. Saima Haque Bidisha, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) of the University of Dhaka and Convenor of the Central Coordination Committee for the New Year Celebration, was present as the chief guest and distributed the certificates among the participants.
The event was presided over by Prof Dr. Md. Azharul Islam Sheikh, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts. Treasurer of the university, Prof Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, and Honorary Professor of the faculty, Dr. Md. Abdus Sattar, addressed the event as special guests. Distinguished alumni artist Manbendra Ghosh’s father, Amlendra Ghosh, along with teachers, students, alumni from various departments, and other guests, were present at the event.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) Professor Dr. Saima Haque Bidisha expressed heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all concerned for their full cooperation in successfully organizing the ‘Boishakh Festive Rally.’ She said, in urban reality, many aspects of our culture are being forgotten. This year, many elements of the lost culture emerged through the Boishakh Festive Rally. Alongside, the spontaneous participation of various ethnic groups and all attendees made this year's Boishakh Festive Rally particularly significant.
