Fatema in fear after planting mango seedlings on land in Porsha

Porsha (Naogaon) Correspondent

A farmer named Fatema is in fear after planting mango seedlings on land owned by her in Porsha, Naogaon.

She is the wife of the deceased Abdur Rashid Shah of Porsha Puril village in Fatema upazila.

Fatema's sons Sakhawat Hossain Shah and Hasan Shah said that their mother received 1 acre 84 percent of land in Khatian No. 172 of Plot No. 161 in Rodgram Mouza of Sapahar upazila, which they found through various sources.

After getting the land, their mother had been cultivating various crops including paddy with sharecroppers. In such a situation, their mother had planted 580 mango trees on that land last October/2025. But to everyone's surprise, Fatema's brother Mozammel and his people cut down the trees on the night of March 7.

A complaint was filed with the Sapahar police station in this regard. They also said that since that day, her mother has been worried about planting crops on that land. Even then, on July 20, their sharecroppers planted Aman rice on the mentioned land. They said that they are very worried that the planted rice could be destroyed by the opposition.

Fatema said that she got the mentioned land from her ancestral land. She used to cultivate the crops regularly. But suddenly her brother Mozammel and his team are harming her. Therefore, she herself is visiting the land almost every day to take care of it. If this time the planted rice is destroyed, she has demanded strict punishment from the local administration for the miscreants including her brother.
