Three families lost everything in a devastating fire at Subgram Chakjhapu Jigatla village under Bogura Sadar upazila.

 Following the incident, Amra BNP Poribar (We BNP Family) has stood beside the victims with support.

At the direction of  Acting BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman and  Convener of Amra BNP Poribar, Atikur Rahman Ruman,  leaders  visited the affected families on Friday.  Following  the instruction, Kalam Azad, Coordinator of BNP Media Cell for Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions, visited the spot . He handed over new clothes to the fire victims and assured them of further assistance soon.

Present during the visit were Monowar Hossain, Khatib of Baitur Rahman Central Mosque in Bogura; Engineer Abu Zafar Md. Reza; JASAS General Secretary Rasheduzzaman Piyas; local BNP leader Faruk Hasan Shimul; Z-Force General Secretary Komol; Swechchhasebak Dal leader Nur Alam; and Jubo Dal leader SM Ripon.

After the visit, Kalam Azad said, “BNP’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman always works for the welfare of the people. Even from abroad, he remains concerned about the suffering of the country’s citizens and instructs party leaders and activists to stand by the helpless. Here, these families have lost everything in the fire. We deeply feel their pain, and it is our responsibility to support them. More assistance will reach them very soon.”

The fire broke out around Tuesday evening  due to an electrical short circuit. Within moments, it spread to the houses of Mamunur Rashid, Minar Hossain, and Mofazzal Hossain. Although locals and fire service personnel managed to bring the blaze under control, three houses, along with valuable documents, furniture, and cash, were completely reduced to ashes. The estimated loss is around Tk 20 to 25 lakh.

Victim Mofazzal Hossain Mondol said, “Our houses, furniture, and cash have all been reduced to ashes. Nothing remains except the clothes we are wearing.”
