Home Ministry Addl Secretary in Lalmonirhat : Police services to made more people-oriented, tech baded

Police services will be made more people-oriented and technology-dependent. Our main goal is to ensure that every person who comes to the police station receives service with respect and empathy.

As a resource person in a seminar organized at the Civil Surgeon Office in Lalmonirhat, during a two-day visit to Lalmonirhat on Thursday  after visiting Lalmonirhat Sadar Police Station and holding a meeting with police officers, Abu Momtaz Sad Uddin, Additional Secretary of the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs, said these. 

He said that in view of the current situation between India and Pakistan, police surveillance at the border has been increased. In any situation, the police will play their role.

The Additional Secretary said that people-friendly policing must be ensured. For this, he instructed the police officers to perform their professional duties with dedication and honesty.

Earlier, at around 11 AM when he arrived at the police station, he was greeted with flowers by the police administration. He visited various departments of the police station and spoke with the officers.

He visited  the duty office, malkhana (evidence room), armory, detention cell, and CCTV control room of the police station, including abandoned vehicles, and observed the overall activities.

At this time, he observed the police's service activities, service centers, and various aspects of management.

During the visit, present were Lalmonirhat Additional Deputy Commissioner (D.D.L.G) Rajib Pradhan, Additional Superintendent of Police of Lalmonirhat District Shahadat Hossain, Assistant Superintendent of Police Fazlul Haque, Officer-in-Charge of Sadar Police Station Mohammad Nurun Nabi, and other police officials.

In response to a journalist's question after the visit, he highly praised the good policing activities of Lalmonirhat District Superintendent of Police Md. Tarikul Islam.
In addition, the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs thanked everyone, including Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Nurun Nabi of the Sadar Police Station, for their good work.

He came to Lalmonirhat in a two-day visit as a resource person in a seminar organized by the Civil Surgeon Office of Lalmonirhat District.
