Jamaat submits multiple proposals to govt to resolve crisis, but they paid no heed: Mia Golam Parwar

Jamaat-e-Islami’s Central Secretary General, Mia Golam Parwar, stated that the opposition has repeatedly advised the government on resolving the electricity, gas, and fuel crises. To address the ongoing crisis, the opposition even appointed experts at its own expense and conveyed their recommendations and opinions to the government in the form of formal proposals.
However, the government completely ignored these proposals. He remarked that opposition parties, including Jamaat, wish to cooperate with the government, yet the government opposes the opposition merely for the sake of opposition.
He made these remarks on Friday at 11:30 AM while briefing journalists during an organizational visit to Jhenaidah.
Responding to a question about whether the opposition's shadow cabinet is cooperating with the government, Mia Golam Parwar said, "Since taking our place in the opposition, we have submitted at least 38 proposals to the government at various times to help tackle different crises. These proposals were offered to assist the government through constructive advice. Yet, the government has not accepted a single proposal from the opposition, including Jamaat, to date. The government's allegation that the opposition is uncooperative is laughable."
Mia Golam Parwar further added, "I would say that the BNP is ungrateful.
After the 2001 election, considering the overall situation and the need to counter hegemonic forces, we stood by the BNP for five years. Jamaat supported the BNP at that time for the sake of the country's welfare and to resist hegemonic powers. Prior to that, the BNP had formed the government in 1991, and we had extended our cooperation and support then as well. However, immediately after forming the government, the BNP sent Jamaat's then-Central Amir to prison. They caused the deaths of our activists in Dhaka, Rajshahi, and Khulna. Chhatra Dal terrorists killed our Shibir members on university campuses. We repeatedly sought to cooperate with the BNP. I challenge them: even now, they oppose Jamaat simply for the sake of opposition." The BNP is an ungrateful party. Their opposition is akin to the proverb: "An idle mind is the devil's workshop" (or, having nothing better to do, one engages in trivial pursuits).
Criticizing the government, he further remarked that the BNP is now claiming Jamaat is instigating the Awami League to take to the streets. How could activists from a party with a banned political status stage processions in Dhaka and across the country while the government, intelligence agencies, and law enforcement forces are active?
Earlier, Mia Golam Parwar attended an educational camp organized at the Jhenaidah District Jamaat office in the Hamdah area of Jhenaidah town as the chief guest. Attendees at the event included Jhenaidah District Jamaat Amir and Member of Parliament (MP) for Jhenaidah-2, Ali Azam Mohammad Abu Bakar; District Secretary Abdul Awal; and MP for Kushtia-3, Mufti Amir Hamza, along with other party leaders and activists.
