Kindergarten Assoc holds press confce after protest in Jamalpur
Jamalpur Correspondent
The District Kindergarten Association held a press conference after presenting a memorandum and protesting in Jamalpur demanding that the circular for participation in the primary school scholarship examination for students from private institutions be maintained.
All kindergarten teachers, staff, and directors from the district and upazila participated in the day-long program on Tuesday.
As part of the program, in addition to carrying out various programs, a memorandum is submitted to the Chief Advisor through the District Commissioner.
District Kindergarten Association President Nasimul Mosaver said that earlier, kindergarten children used to participate in the primary scholarship exam. After the new government came to power, it suddenly issued a circular depriving all students of private educational institutions from participating in the primary scholarship exam.
However, books are being provided to students of these educational institutions as per government regulations. Kindergarten students, parents, teachers and staff across the country have risen up against this circular.
Children in this country are supposed to participate in state-recognized exams as a matter of their civil rights. But this arbitrary decision has taken away the rights of citizens and children day by day. On the other hand, it has also tarnished the image of the government.
Among others who spoke were District Kindergarten Association Vice President Riazul Islam, Delwar Hossain, Abu Bakr Siddique, General Secretary Fazlul Karim, Assistant General Secretary Nurul Islam, Masudur Rahman, Atiqur Rahman Selim, Organizing Secretary Ismail Hossain, and others.
