Alamgir Hossain, Manikchhari (Khagrachhari) 

A victim Amir Hossain has filed a case against Bangladesh Supreme Party (BSP) Chairman Syed Saifuddin Ahmed on the allegation of land grabbing by a person named Amir Hossain in Manikchari, Khagrachari by forging a national identity card.

On April 22 of this year, a person named Amir Hossain filed a civil case No. 55/2025 against Syed Saifuddin Ahmed in the Khagrachari Joint District Judge's Court.

Case details and plaintiff Amir Hossain said, 'He purchased 4.50 acres of land in the third class of 5 acres of holding number 100 of Manikchhari Mouza number 208 of Manikchhari Upazila in 2006 and registered it with mutation number 23/2006 and was living on the land with his family. Later in 2013, when the defendant and his associate Md. Abdul Mannan Patwary were about to sell the land, some people, tenants of Bangladesh Supreme Party (BSP) Chairman Syed Saifuddin Ahmed and Abdul Mannan Patwary, intimidated me and forcibly took my signature and took possession of the land by showing my national identity card at a fake address and preparing illegal documents.

The plaintiff also said that since the defendant was close to the then Awami League and was in power, no protest or case could be filed at that time.'  As a result, the plaintiff Amir Hossain filed this case to recover the said land by canceling the defendant's illegal documents.

Although the defendant in the case, Syed Saifuddin Ahmed, was contacted on his mobile phone in this regard, he could not be reached. His responsible person and the custodian of the said land, Abdul Mannan Patwary, said, 'I was involved in the purchase and sale of this land. The mentioned land was purchased from Amir Hossain in a completely legal way through proper legal process. However, I do not know why the seller denied it or filed a case'.
