Man arrested with 200 liters of liquor in Boalkhali

Police arrested Md. Babul Hossain alias Gas Babul, an accused in a dozen cases, with 200 liters of brewed liquor in Boalkhali.
He was arrested after conducting a raid on Tuesday night based on a secret tip-off.
The police said that the liquor filled with plastic bags was recovered from his residence.
Babul is the son of Mozaher Mia of East Charandwip area of Ward No. 8 of Charandwip Union.
OC of Boalkhali Police Station Muhammad Lutfur Rahman said that a case has been filed against Babul under the relevant sections of the Narcotics Control Act for illegally storing brewed liquor in his residence for the purpose of selling.
In addition, a review of the CDMS (Crime Data Management System) revealed that Babul has 10 cases against him for various crimes including murder, weapons, and drugs.
