One arrested with homemade pipe gun in Sonagazi

Md. Arif, alias Jamai Arif (32), was arrested by the Model Thana Police with a homemade pipe gun.in Sonagazi.
He is the son of Abu Taher from Anandpur village in Mangalkandi Union of the upazila.
According to police, on the night of 21 July at around 10:30 PM, based on confidential information and with the assistance of local residents, Arif was apprehended in front of Taiyeb’s shop in Sampur village of Mangalkandi Union. A homemade pipe gun was recovered from his possession at the time of arrest.
The police further stated that Arif has five cases filed against him, including charges of theft, robbery, and attempted robbery. There are four arrest warrants issued against him in connection with these cases.
Sonagazi Model Thana OC Bayezid Akan, told The Country Today that a case has been filed against Arif under the Arms Act, and he has been sent to the court.
