Relief materials distributed among victims of violence in Guimara

Distribution of relief materials among the victims of violence in Guimara, Khagrachhari and reception of meritorious students were held recently.
The program was inaugurated as the chief guest at the Guimara Government Model High School Auditorium in the morning by the 20th Field Regiment Artillery Sindukchhari Zone under the Guimara Region of the Bangladesh Army.
The program included construction of shops and houses for the victims of the fire, provision of wheelchairs for the mobility of the affected people, installation of solar lamp posts to ensure the safety of the area, distribution of educational materials among local students and reception of meritorious students.
The chief guest said that until all the people of the hills are brought into the mainstream, it will not be possible to establish lasting peace and development in the region.
Among others present at the event were District Commissioner Anwar Sadat,
Sindukchhari Zone Commander Lt. Col. Kazi Nehat Faisal, Lakshmichhari Zone Commander Lt. Col. Khan Sajibul Islam, Superintendent of Police Mortoza Ali Khan and other military and civilian officials were present.
