Local residents, political figures, government officials, educators, civil society members, and journalists gathered at the Satkhira Sadar Upazila Parishad auditorium for a follow-up meeting focused on evaluating progress on local development priorities and pre-election commitments recently.
Organized by the non-governmental organization SEEDO Satkhira under the Effort Project and supported by ActionAid Bangladesh, the session was designed to track the status of pledges made by political leaders and candidates during an election manifesto dialogue held in October 2025. Discussions centered on identifying completed projects, pending initiatives, and operational challenges.
Satkhira-2 MP Muhaddis Abdul Khaleq attended as the chief guest and reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling all election pledges step-by-step. He emphasized that addressing community needs remains his priority and called for coordinated efforts among elected officials, local administration, and the public.
During the session, Sakib Hasan, President of the Satkhira Youth Hub, presented a report outlining local development demands tailored to the region.
