Coast Guard anti-drug drive: 30- kg ganja seized, one detained in Bhola

The Bangladesh Coast Guard arrested a suspected drug peddler along with 30 kilograms of ganja, valued at approximately Tk 12 lakh, during an anti-narcotics drive in Bhola on Saturday.
The information was disclosed on Saturday evening by Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujan in a press release.
Acting on a tip-off, a special operation was conducted by Coast Guard Base Bhola at around 4:00 PM on Saturday near Sonadugi in the East Ilisha area under Bhola Sadar Upazila. During the drive, officers intercepted and searched a suspicious microbus, recovering the narcotics and apprehending the suspect.
Legal proceedings regarding the seized evidence and the detained individual are currently underway.
The Coast Guard reiterated that its operations to curb the spread of harmful drugs will continue in the future.
