Khandaker Abu Ashfaq MP inaugurates plantation in Dohar

As one of the government's election promises, a programme has been taken under Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's plantation programme to plant and care for at least one tree per citizen per year.
The plantation and construction of five roads were inaugurated across Dohar Upazila as part of the implementation of the nationwide 250 million tree planting program to protect the environment and combat the adverse effects of climate change on Saturday.
Khandaker Abu Ashfaq, Member of Parliament for Dhaka-1 (Dohar and Nawabganj) constituency, inaugurated the tree planting program on the dirt road adjacent to the Nikra-Tikarpur Padbruma Bypass Road.
Speaking as the chief guest at the event, Dhaka District BNP President and MP Ashfaq said, "Tree plantation is not just our responsibility. It is our responsibility. Tree plantation must be transformed into a social movement to make the upazilas around Dhaka, including the capital, more livable and environmentally friendly."
We have seen that tree planting is often seen as a formal program. If every citizen takes responsibility for planting and caring for at least one tree a year, it is possible to bring about significant changes in the ecological balance of the capital and the surrounding upazilas of Dhaka, he claims.
Trees not only maintain the balance of the environment, but also play an important role in creating a safe and livable world for future generations.
Then, MP Khandaker Abu Ashfaq inaugurated the Nikra-Tikarpur Padma Bypass Road. The MP also inaugurated the road to the house of Banaghata Zahid Commissioner of Doha Municipality, the road adjacent to Jhanki Rani Building of Narisha Union of the upazila, and the West Char Road.
Recently, Latakhola inaugurated the road works of the Dhaka Project in CPDN, Kartikpur, Charkushai areas.

Raju Ahmed, Dhaka District Jubo Dal Senior Vice President Abul Hashem Bepari, Municipality BNP President S. M. Quddus, Upazila BNP Vice President Nurul Islam Bepari, among others.
