Porsha police arrested a rapist named Anwar Hossain (43) in a case under the Women and Children Abuse Prevention Act in Porsha, Naogaon.
The arrested Anwar is the son of Abul Mondal of Aladipur village in Sapahar upazila. He was arrested in a case under the Women and Children Abuse Prevention Act filed by Nasrin Sultan, wife of Abdul Wahab of Paschim Haripur village in Porsha upazila on Tuesday.
According to the case source, Nasrin is a housewife. In 2004, she got married to Abdul Hai Kafi, son of Sohrab Ali of Paschim Haripur village according to Islamic Sharia. They have a son and a daughter.
On April 27, 2025, Nasrin's husband Abdul Hai Kafi went to Chapainawabganj for special needs. At that time, her daughter was at her aunt's house in Rajshahi and her son was at the madrasa. At around 3:30 am on the same day, responding to the call of nature, Nasrin opened the gate of her house and went to the bathroom outside the house.
At that time, taking advantage of the fact that her husband and son were not at home, Anwar, who had been waiting for her from the east, entered the house through the gate and since there was no door to the house, he entered the house.
