Wheelchairs distributed among 35 disabled people in Mirzapur

Wheelchairs have been distributed among 35 disabled people in Mirzapur, Tangail on Tuesday morning,
UNO ABM Ariful Islam presided over the wheelchair distribution ceremony at the Mirzapur Upazila Parishad premises, with Md. Shihab Raihan,
Deputy Director of Local Government Department, Tangail, as the chief guest. Sunam Uddin, a resident of Chitmamudpur village in Tarafpur Union, and Ananta Bhowmik, son of Nitya Bhowmik of Dulya Begum village in Bhatgram Union, said that they cannot walk alone due to physical disabilities. They could not even buy wheelchairs due to financial constraints.
Now, since UNO sir from the Upazila Parishad gave them wheelchairs, they can now walk on their own, at least to some extent, sitting in wheelchairs.
The wheelchairs were distributed among 35 disabled people with the funding of Mirzapur Upazila Parishad, said Md. Jubidal Khan, administrative officer of the upazila administration.
