A two-year executive committee for the 37th BCS Police Cadre Association, consisting of members from the country’s 37th BCS Police Batch, has been formed. By unanimous consent, Assistant Police Superintendent Abul Basar Molla, currently working at the Industrial Police Headquarters, has been elected as the committee president, and Assistant Police Superintendent Md. Mehedi Islam of Narayanganj District Police (GA Circle) has been elected as the general secretary.

The members of the 37th BCS Police Batch gathered on Saturday at the Bangladesh Police Officers’ Mess on Eskaton Road in Dhaka and formed the committee for the next two years.

Additionally, the committee elected the following members: Assistant Police Superintendent Shah Mostafa Tarikuzzaman of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) as Senior Vice President, Assistant Police Superintendent Toufiq Ahmed of DMP as 1st Joint General Secretary, and Assistant Police Superintendent Hussain Mohammad Farabi of DMP as Organizational Secretary.

Members who could not attend in person joined the discussion virtually via Zoom, and Ehsan Imon served as the Chief Election Commissioner for the election process.

After forming the committee, the newly elected president, general secretary, and other members pledged to work unitedly for the interests of the batch and the country, embracing the spirit of the Liberation War and the July 2024 movement.

It was also decided in the meeting that the president and general secretary will form a full committee within the next two weeks.
