
BASAP central committee : Mannan Munna President, Solaiman Akash Secretary

The central council of the Bangladesh Sangbadik Parished (BASAP), an organization of village journalists, has been completed.
AHM Mannan Munna (The New Nation, Daily Bhorer Dak) was elected president, and Md. Solaiman Akash (The Country Today and Daily Shomor Kagoj) was elected general secretary.
The second triennial council of the central executive committee of the Bangladesh Sangbadik Porished (BASAP),
was held at the Chittagong city office on Friday afternoon.
The central council was held under the chairmanship of the organization's central executive committee president, Daily Jugantar and Daily Azadi correspondent Mahbub Palash, and moderated by General Secretary Dhaka Tribune's Rangamati district correspondent Bijoy Dhar.
The other elected members of the committee are: Syed Forkan Abu (Daily Jugantor), Senior Vice President, Mahbub Palash (Daily Jugantor and Daily Azadi), Master Abul Hossain (News 24Ghanta.com), Ranjit Dhar (Daily Sangbad) Bijoy Dhar (Dhaka Tribune) as Vice President.
Chhotan Kanti Nath (Daily Kaler Kantha and Daily Azadi), Nasir Uddin (Daily Manab Kantha and Channel S), Nur Mohammad Rana (Daily Shomora Kajog) Joint-General Secretary, Shafiul Azam (Daily Azadi) Organizing Secretary, Mejbah Uddin (The Bangladesh Today) Treasurer Secretary, Direshtha Barua Office Secretary, Nasir Uddin Bhuiyan (Daily Giri Darpan and Daily Bangladesh Samachar), Publicity and Publication Secretary, Abu Shahed (Manabzamin) Information Technology Secretary, Mir Hossain (Bi-weekly Khabarika) Sports Secretary, Manjurul Alam Social Welfare Secretary and Rabiul Hossain, Chittagong North District BSP President Mir Aslam (Daily Azadi / Jay Jay Din) Chittagong North District BSP General Secretary Rajib Majumder (Daily Janakantha / Global TV) Executive Council Member A 31-member committee was formed.
Later, the presidents and general secretaries of all district committees will be nominated as members of the central committee.
It is mentioned that the Bangladesh Journalists Council was established in 2020 with the aim of representing the rural journalists, creating unity among the rural journalists, protecting the interests of journalism and building professionalism. It is a non-political and professional organization.
