Noor Islam had lost all hope in life due to long-term illness, poverty and family breakdown. He was suffering from a complex eye disease and needed surgery, but he could not get treatment due to lack of money.

Dhaka Deputy Commissioner Farida Khanam stood by him in such a helpless situation.

Recently, financial assistance for eye treatment and necessary surgery was handed over to Noor Islam at the Dhaka Deputy Commissioner's office.

It is learnt that Noor Islam gradually lost his ability to work after being diagnosed with asthma. His family broke up in just six months. After his wife divorced him, he had no permanent place to live. Currently, he is taking shelter in a mosque and earning a living with the help of people.

Meanwhile, Noor Islam had been suffering from a complex eye problem for a long time. Although the doctor advised him to undergo urgent surgery, it was not possible due to financial crisis. Finally, he applied to the Deputy Commissioner for financial assistance.

After receiving the application, considering Noor Islam's struggle for life, Deputy Commissioner Farida Khanam extended a helping hand. Necessary financial assistance was provided for his treatment and surgery.

District administration sources said that Nur Islam could not afford the medical expenses. Therefore, he was given this assistance from a humanitarian perspective.

Deputy Commissioner Farida Khanam said, "It is the responsibility of the administration to stand by the helpless people. If we can ensure the treatment of people like Noor Islam, that is our success. The district administration will always stand by the people in building a humane state."
