Flood-affected farmers in Panchhari get Aman paddy seeds

The Upazila Agriculture Department distributed a total of 3 metric tons of transplanted Aman paddy seeds among 620 flood-affected farmers in Panchhari upazila of Khagrachhari district.
The seed distribution program was held at the Upazila Parishad on Tuesday at 10:30 am, in the presence of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Farhana Nasrin.
Speaking on the occasion, she said, "We stand beside the farmers to help them overcome the losses caused by the recent floods. These Aman seeds are being given to you so that you can resume cultivation quickly. This government incentive and support for the rehabilitation of farmers will continue in the future as well."
Among others present at the event were Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Anutosh Chakma, Agriculture Extension Officer Ibrahim Khalil, Upazila Fisheries Officer Priyo Kanti Chakma, Upazila BNP General Secretary Md. Yousuf Ali, Bazar Committee General Secretary Md. Abul Kashem, UP Chairman Uchit Moni Chakma, Anondo Joy Chakma, and Abul Hashem. Headmen and teachers from various schools were also present.
