The foundation stone of the new building of the Gopalganj District Bar Association has been laid. The foundation stone of the building was laid by Gopalganj-1 constituency MP Selimuzzaman Mollah, Gopalganj-3 constituency MP SM Jilani and Gopalganj-2 constituency MP Dr. KM Babar at a ceremony organized at the premises of the District Bar Association on Saturday morning.

The chief guest and special guests at the event said that lawyers are an integral part of the judicial system. Their role is very important in establishing justice and ensuring service to the litigants. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure a modern and comfortable working environment for lawyers.

Gopalganj Senior District and Sessions Judge Md. Shamsul Haque, District BNP Convener and District Council Administrator Sharif Rafiquzzaman, District Bar Association President Kazi Abul Khair, General Secretary MA Alam Selim, and other leaders and members of the association were present at the event.

Member of Parliament Selimuzzaman Mollah said that the initiative to construct a new building for the District Bar Association is timely. Once modern infrastructure is built, lawyers will be able to perform their professional duties in a better environment.

MP SM Jilani said that the initiative to construct this building has been taken to implement the long-standing demands of lawyers. Dr. K. M. Babar said that modern infrastructure is of immense importance in the development of the legal sector of a district. The construction of new buildings will improve the working environment of lawyers and make judicial services more dynamic.

Senior District and Sessions Judge Md. Shamsul Haque said that lawyers are directly involved in the judicial process. If a better working environment is ensured for them, the quality of services to the litigants will also increase.

District Bar Association President Kazi Abul Khair said that the construction of the new building has been a long-awaited expectation of the lawyers of the association. Once the building is constructed, the current infrastructural limitations will be removed and it will be easier to conduct professional activities.

General Secretary MA Alam Selim said that the new building will ensure necessary facilities for lawyers and create an improved environment for litigants. He expressed hope that the construction of the building will be completed on time
