Rasulpur UP chairman's press conference to protest false, baseless allegations

The defendant party has held a press conference, claiming that the allegations made against the chairman of Rasulpur Union Parishad in Sadullapur Upazila of Gaibandha are false and baseless. In the press conference held on Monday.
The chairman completely denied the allegations made against him and demanded an impartial investigation and fair trial.
At the press conference, the chairman said that the allegations made against him in a recent case are not in line with the actual facts and reality. He expressed hope that the real truth will come out if the information, evidence and surrounding circumstances presented in the court are properly verified.
He said, "We do not want to show disrespect to the law in any way. Rather, we demand that every complaint be impartially verified by the investigating agency and the learned court. Just because a complaint is made against a person, he does not become a criminal; the truth of the complaint has to be proven through legal process."
The chairman further said that the names and roles of the individuals mentioned in the case documents also need to be verified through due legal process. Relevant documents, contact information, testimonies and other evidence in their possession will be presented to the relevant authorities and the court as required.
He said that it is not their intention to defame anyone or spread any false propaganda. Their expectation is that the real truth should be established through the law and the courts, not through social media.
Calling on the media, the chairman said that instead of promoting the statement of any party in a pending case as the final truth, the news should be published after verifying the statements of both parties and court documents. This will reduce the possibility of undue damage to the social and professional status of an innocent person.
He further said, "We are not afraid or disturbed by these allegations. We have faith in the legal process and are ready to provide all necessary cooperation. Our only demand is an impartial investigation, verification of the factual information, and the establishment of the truth through the courts."
