Special meeting held to accelerate birth, death registration activities in Barguna

A special meeting was held in Barguna to streamline citizen services and further accelerate birth and death registration activities.
The meeting was organized by the district administration and took place at 11:30 AM on Monday at the "Subarna Jayanti" conference room of the Barguna Deputy Commissioner's office. A.S.M. Kashem, Deputy Director (Deputy Secretary) of the Local Government Division in Barguna, presided over the session, while Barguna Deputy Commissioner Ms. Taslima Akhter attended as the chief guest.
The meeting reviewed the current performance and progress of various birth and death registration offices across the district. Discussions focused on optimizing registration procedures to ensure rapid and hassle-free service delivery to citizens. Relevant officials were given necessary directives to eliminate existing bottlenecks and infuse greater dynamism into the operations.
Emphasis was placed on achieving 100% of the targeted birth and death registrations in the district, with instructions for registrars and officials to perform their duties with utmost responsibility.
Moreover, recommendations were made to launch public awareness initiatives to educate and encourage citizens regarding the importance of timely birth and death registrations. Participants also stressed the necessity of coordinated efforts among stakeholders to bring registration services directly to the doorstep of citizens.
