A training workshop has been organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of Bangladesh and Union Project Fisheries, Fisheries and Aquaculture Development in Bangladesh Project Fisheries, Fisheries and Aquaculture Development in Bangladesh, Dumuria's Miximil Miximil Fisheries Recovery Center.

Upazila Senior Fisheries Officer Sohail Md. Zillur Rahman presided over at the South Miximil of Rudaghara Union in Dumuria Upazila on Monday.

Khulna Director Md Jahangir Alam was the chief guest on the occasion.

The special guest was FAO Dhaka, National Project Cordinator DrAbul Hasanat, FAO Dhaka National Capacity Building and Training Expert Kinkar Chandra Saha, FAO Khulna, National Community Management Specialist Md. Mashdur Rahman, FAO Khulna, Field Coldinator Dr. Rafiqul Islam Khan.

The chief guest said that under the Community Based Climate Resilient Fisheries and Aquaculture Development in Bangladesh, the Department of Fisheries, Bangladesh and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) jointly organized a workshopThis workshop is a part of the 'Community Base Climate Resilient Fisheries and Aquaculture Development in Bangladesh' project. The main aim of this project is to increase community's ability in fisheries and fisheries to cope with the risk caused by climate change. In the training workshop, fishermen, fishermen and fisheries officers are given an idea about the risk caused by climate change and training on what to deal with this risk. The issues that are mainly emphasized in the workshop are climate change and its impact, climate change to coexistence, fisheries and community -based fisheries and fisheries management techniques, disaster preparation and risk management.

Through this training workshop, the livelihoods of the fisheries and fishermen are expected to be protected from the adverse effects of climate change
