Mass rally by Jamaat in Nilphamari on July Uprising Day

On the occasion of July Uprising Day, a mass procession was organized by the Nilphamari District Unit of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami on Tuesday.
A large procession started from Bara Bazar in Nilphamari and paraded through the main streets of the town, ending at the Chourangi intersection. There, a brief rally was held under the presidency of district Jamaat Ameer Principal Maulana Abdus Sattar and conducted by district secretary Maulana Antajul Islam.
The chief guest at the rally was Principal Maulana Momtaz Uddin, member of the central working committee of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and assistant regional director for Rangpur–Dinajpur region. Among others, Advocate Al Farooq Abdul Latif, assistant secretary of the district Jamaat and candidate for Nilphamari-2 parliamentary seat, also addressed the gathering.
Meanwhile, on the same day, a mass procession and rally were also held in Jaldhaka upazila by the local unit of Jamaat. The rally was presided over by upazila Ameer Mokhlesur Rahman and conducted by secretary Moyammar Al Hasan. The chief guest was district Shura member and candidate for Nilphamari-3 parliamentary seat, Principal Maulana Obaidullah Salafi.
In addition, Jamaat-e-Islami organized processions and rallies in Dimla, Domar, Kishoreganj, and Saidpur upazilas of the district.
